CHRISTEN ERSKINE serves as the Director of Formation for Children and Youth, part-time, where she oversees the Nursery and Sunday morning Christian formation programs for children. She has been on staff in this capacity since 2008. Christen is a certified Godly Play Foundation Trainer and also a trainer for Safeguarding God’s Children for the Diocese of Atlanta. Christen’s background and experience is in education in both schools and churches. Christen and her family are members of St. Bartholomew’s.

TOM PENNA serves as the Youth Director. Tom and his wife Sarah have attended St. Bartholomew’s since 2007, and their son Henry was baptized here in June. In 2010, Tom received a Master of Theological Studies degree from the Candler School of Theology, where he focused on ethics. He has volunteered with the youth program and served as the vestry liaison for youth and young adults, and he is thrilled about this expanded opportunity to serve the youth of St. Bart’s and their families.

AMANDA VAUGHN serves as the Administrator and Communicator. Her background is in communications and administration with religious and other non-profit institutions. She has served on the staffs of the Episcopal Media Center, the Seminary of the Southwest, Church of the Good Shepherd, Austin, Texas; St. Luke’s, Atlanta; and St. Patrick’s, Dunwoody. She also worked for Mercer and Oglethorpe universities. Her husband, Chad, is the rector of St. Bede’s, Atlanta, where she worships along with their twin daughters, Lucy and Maggie. She’s a native Atlantan (born on Peachtree Street), was raised Presbyterian, but was found and embraced by the Episcopal Church which she has come to love.

SHANNON GALLIER is Organist-Choirmaster where he oversees the vibrant music program at St. Bartholomew’s, including many guest concert performances by outside groups, and manages the maintenance of the church’s magnificent 2003 Rosales pipe organ. Shannon holds multiple degrees in music and is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians and the American Guild of Organists. Shannon has served in several other Episcopal Churches before joining our staff.

KENNETH HILSON serves as Kitchen Manager and Sexton where he handles building maintenance and repairs, while also preparing meals for weekly church functions. Kenny joined the staff in 2005, part-time as Kitchen Manager. In 2007, he became the church Sexton, as well, serving the Parish on a full-time basis. Kenny is married and has 3 children.
